Asbestos exposure in Oregon historically have come from organs ship building Industries and their Forest Products Industries the shipyards particularly on Swan Island those ships were built using a lot of asbestos containing insulation products and other asbestos containing products and when those ships were repaired when they were dismantled large amounts of asbestos gets released into the air also organs Forest products industry has involved a lot of different open paper mills where in which asbestos insulation is used throughout those Mills and the workers are exposed that way you also see a lot of asbestos exposure in auto repair shops asbestos was used in brakes up until the 1990s and unfortunately we see that a lot of them work supposed to asbestos that way and then went on to development.
